This April I rode in the Face of America 2024 Washington DC to Gettysburg Ride. This year we were “Team Wild Bill” Hamilton, in honor of Bill Hamilton who was instrumental is creating and maintaining the team.

Our team consisted of many veterans and a couple of great supporters. It was a great team ride, and I am looking forward to next year!!

Sandra and I went to Lake Lure for a little vacation, and John Clark came with us. John and I got to go fishing but didn’t catch anything. Although we didn’t catch anything, we still had a good time chillin’.

I was messing around with my camera and decided to try taking some nighttime photos, some turned out really good in my opinion and some did not (I didn’t keep those)….LOL.

Wanted to take this time to thank VetTix Donors for allowing us to go see Dan and Shay in Greensboro last night!! We had a great time, and the music was awesome as usual.

This April 19-21, 2024, I will be riding in the Face of America: Gettysburg, benefiting non-profit World T.E.A.M. This inspiring two-day cycling challenge unifies civilians with both retired and active military, first responders, and adaptive military veterans and civilians from across North America and beyond.

I Need Your Support! Approximately one in eight people in the United States have some form of a disability. Since 2001, over 720,000 members of the American Armed Forces have been disabled with service-related injuries. World T.E.A.M. recognizes the needs of these returning war fighters and makes a special effort to provide resources and support to injured service members, veterans and their families.

For more than 25 years, World T.E.A.M. has used athletics to challenge men, women and children with disabilities to accomplish goals they never thought possible. In all programs; whether mountain climbing, biking, white water rafting or many other sports; both adaptive and able-bodied participants are included. Pictures From Last Year

Spent the weekend in Annapolis Maryland with Wounded Warrior Project Physical Health and Wellness Team!!  Learned a lot about nutrition, stretching, and exercise as well as got to hang out with some great warriors!!

We also walked around Annapolis; it is actually a pretty place to visit!

I had the awesome chance to ride with Team Tyler Hamilton for the 2023 Face of America Ride.

We started Friday evening with a ride around the monuments!

The 108-mile Face of America route began in Arlington, Virginia and traveled north through the city past the Pentagon and Fort Meyer, through Arlington National Cemetery and the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park along the Potomac River. We finished Saturday in Frederick, Maryland. Although we did not make the entire ride the first day due to weather, we did ride almost 45 miles.

On Sunday, we continue their journey north past the quiet, picturesque farms of northwestern Maryland and southern Pennsylvania, and pedaled the final miles through the historic Civil War battlefield at Gettysburg.
