Sandra and I went to Lake Lure for a little vacation, and John Clark came with us. John and I got to go fishing but didn’t catch anything. Although we didn’t catch anything, we still had a good time chillin’.

Took off today on the bike and did a nice tour of Franklin TN. Nice 15 mile trip with some pretty views along the way. Rode a little through downtown as well!!

I did have to replace a tube part-way through the ride, but the park was a nice place to have to do that!! I hit a bad pothole trying to miss a couple walkers and a dog……

Then finished the evening with a good dinner and beer at Old Chicagos!

Spent today in Nashville!! Started at Peg Leg BBQ, walked around Broadway (Nic had never been there before), and then spent some time in the Country Music Hall of Fame. I give Nic credit for going, as he knew only 9 names from the entire place . Finished up the night listening to Matt Marinchick… the same person that Shannon and I found a couple years ago and have been following him since!!

Spent today around the Franklin area, went to the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge and a couple stops on the road there. Had a funny discussion with Shannon and Nic on what the difference between a walk and hike is when you are talking about tracking activities in a fitness app…..

Started breakfast at Puckitts Franklin.

Then we drove out to Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge and surrounding area.

Then we finished up walking around Franklin TN and grabbing some food (and of course Starbucks).

Left Raleigh to take some time off and visit @Shannon and Nic in Tennessee. It’s just under an 8 hour drive, so @Harley and I took off!! @sandra will be flying in later to visit with her sister and brother-in-law. The trip out was uneventful for us, but not for others as we passed and were diverted around 6 or 7 different accidents. ⁹

Shannon and Nic arrived a few hours after we did!! It is great to see them. Looking forward to spending the next couple days with them.

Spent 5 days in Uhwarrie National Forest on the game lands hunting with some friends.   I think it was more of a camping trip for me than it was a hunting trip…LOL.  It was great to be with friends and have some time in the woods to reflect.  The weather went from cold to warm back to cold!!  The wind picked up and the leaves hitting the tent almost sounded like rain.  It was a fabulous 5 days!!

Had a great weekend at RV Resort @ Carolina Crossroads in Roanoke Rapics, NC. The campground was well-maintained and we had a great group of friends to be with!!
