What did you enjoy most / least about today’s challenge?
The least enjoyable thing about today’s challenge was trying to figure out how to photograph my interpretation of God’s love for me. I kept asking myself how, what, where…..and all day I tried to come up with the answers to these questions. I struggled with this, and even thought that as a photographer the 30-day art challenge might not be for me. But, as I relaxed, and asked God for guidance, I was enlightened that I did not have to use today’s picture to show God’s love, but any picture that I have would work. The enjoyable part of the challenge today was looking through my pictures and seeing all the images of past days. And then I came upon this certain picture…one that I took one early morning with my men’s group from my church. To me, God’s love is beauty, colorful, fulfilling, everlasting, and never ending…Just like this photo.
What did the Lord show you through today’s challenge?
The lord showed me that even photography is an art form. Even though I don’t put a brush to canvas, a pen to paper, or create an item, I must see things that many cannot. I have to see the beauty in colors and in shadows, the beauty in symmetry and irregularities. A photographer creates art from the beauty that is seen every day, and sometimes (if not many times) overlooked.
