17 Aug 12 – Quest Hurts himself

Friday, 17 August I went out to see my horses and have the farrier trim and put shoes on Blizzard.  When I went to get quest out of the pasture, he was immobile and would not come to me like he usually does.

When I went into the pasture to get him, I discovered a wound in the inside of his right from hock and hoof.  He was limping and favoring his front leg, and I was sorta upset as this was the first major medical issue that I have had with the horses.  I moved Quest up to the barn and found Vonda and Ashton, of Hamilton Stables and we immediately washed, cleaned, wrapped and medicated him.
